Storyboards
What is a storyboard, you ask? Well, a storyboard is a sequence of still pictures representing, in chronological order, the events of the story being filmed. The storyboard is a preview for camera angles, lighting, montage, sound effects, actor arrangment, prop arrangement, and narrative development & continuity, arranged to clearly show such things as object shape continuity, light, viewpoint, frame design, and Mise-en-scene.
As a case study, let us compare Buying a Pack of Smokes with the storyboard for the episode.
